About Us

Click here to watch a brief video of the story behind A Shared InHERitance.

I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, people, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”  Revelation 7: 9-10

The Feast of Tabernacles was also called the Feast of Ingathering. Focusing the hearts of Israel to remember not only the provisions and care of the Father and the gathering of the rich harvest, the feast also looked forward to the gathering of God's people from every land who would one day dwell together in peace.  The spiritual concepts of this feast are deep and rich and should surely be felt by all who are “gathered” unto the Lord in this great and royal kingdom and priesthood.  We all, in every land, live in tents. Our temporary dwellings, both our bodies and our houses, are places in which we sojourn and camp.  During our time on Earth, we are one militant kingdom; however, we gather in these separate lands where we camp - lifting up our praises to our God and king – singing and worshiping in distant lands in different languages, under different flags.  In our physical tents, never meeting one another, we engage in worship and a dedication that unites us.   For, we are also an eternal sisterhood, and one day there will be a great “ingathering”, and we all, from every tribe and every tongue will be gathered unto our Lord, by our Lord, and we will dwell together in the presence of our Lord forever.

While Satan intends for the world of modern communication to destroy righteous hearts, God surely means it for good.  It is our hope that Christian women everywhere, all over this globe, can be strengthened and encouraged to fight the spiritual fight before us, to be united with sisters of other lands, and to grow in the understanding that we are travelers but not true citizens of the lands in which we live.  Our holy nation is our first allegiance, and our pledge is to be “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of His marvelous light, who once were not a people but are now the people of God.”  1 Peter 2:9-10.

Our prayer is this – that our website A Shared InHERitance may provide solid and sound Bible teaching to enrich, encourage, refresh, and provide resources for our spiritual sisters’ travels on Earth, wherever we may tabernacle.

May God provide the provision and guidance for this and every endeavor, and may the glory be to God.

  • Lee Carter

For the past 20 years, Lee has lived in Germany and been active in the work of the kingdom with women and teenage girls throughout Europe and Northern Africa. The Christians of the culturally diverse work in Darmstadt, Germany have been Lee’s family overseas and have been instrumental in her spiritual growth. Being a part of an online magazine is incredibly exciting as it provides the opportunity for sisters of different cultures and backgrounds to form connections with other sisters worldwide and partake more fully in their shared inheritance! Lee has been married for 26 years to Tony, and they have one son, John Carter. John recently married Shelby, a fellow Florida College graduate. John and Shelby now live and work in Tampa where they worship with the saints at Henderson Blvd. Professionally, Lee has spent the past 30 years working as a high school English teacher.

They raised three boys, who have married believers, and are faithful to God and raising families of their own. Don and Cami have 8 grandchildren, and she might be guilty of obsessing on them just a bit.

Although they have lived in West Virginia, Georgia, and Norway, most of their gospel work has been in the Northeastern US, which they love and call home. They have lived and worked in New York City and its metro area for the past 20 years.

Cami has held jobs in Adult Literacy, Senior Services, and Wellness/Weight Management, which has given her the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life. Living in Norway and New York City offered her the advantage of knowing people from all over the world, and learning from them.

Cami is co-director of Far Above Rubies (FAR) Bible Camp, a week of Bible study and fellowship for girls. When circumstances allow, they also enjoy traveling - specifically to hike and take in God's creation and to visit other groups of saints abroad.
